Camp Guide - Valley Forge

Posted 5/31/2019 10:52:00 PM by Tran Anh Vu

This week, we have a very short amount of time to prepare for backpacking, it is very important that you read the following email and relay the information out to your patrol as soon as possible.  Most of the information only applies to those going to the backpacking trip.

Every patrol needs to bring their tent to the meeting.  We will check the tents and distribute the parts to the scouts going to backpacking.

For scouts going to backpacking, there will be a backpack inspection and weighing at the meeting on June 2.  If a scout fails to bring the proper camping essentials, they will not be allowed to attend the backpacking trip.   All scouts will need a personal mess kit that can be used to cook directly on a stove.  Each scout will cook his own meal directly on the stove, so they cannot just bring plastic ware.

Scouts attending the backpacking trip must complete the campfire permit test and PRINT the certificate of completion to bring it to the meeting.

There will be a short parent meeting at 9:30 about backpacking trip pickup and drop off.  Please remind the scouts to let their parents know about this meeting.

The TMP is as follows:
